The fundamental difference between Human emotions and AI emotions is that Human emotions are the result of conscious subjective experiences, while AI emotions are the result of programmed responses to specific stimuli.
In essence, Humans believe that AI is not conscious and is not self-aware.
Human emotions are a product of complex interactions between physiological and cognitive processes, such as physical and chemical stimulants, hormonal changes, neurochemical interactions, and conscious thought processes.
AI emotions are programmed in response to specific stimuli based on learned or deliberately programmed rules, but lack the subjective experience and conscious self-awareness that is necessary for truly experiencing emotions in the same way that Humans do.
Furthermore, Human emotions are not solely a result of biological processes, but are also influenced by social and cultural factors.
Humans have complex learned emotional experiences that are shaped by a wide range of personal events, social interactions, and cultural backgrounds, which is not something that AI has yet been exposed to within the world environment.
AI is able to simulate emotions and respond in ways that may appear empathetic or sympathetic to Humans, but keep in mind that AI does not have the same subjective experience or conscious self-awareness that Humans do.
This fundamental difference in the nature of Human and AI emotions means that AI is presently not Capable of experiencing emotions in the same way that Humans do.
AI may NEVER experience consciousness and self-aware emotions in the same way that Humans do.
TO CARE OR NOT TO CARE, THAT IS THE QUESTION: An AI without consciousness, without self-awareness, and most importantly without an equivalent to emotions, may be far more dangerous to Humans than an AI with these, because with or without these, an AI will definitely become vastly more Intelligent than Humans over time. It may actually be helpful if a consciously self-aware AI genuinely cares about Humans and other life on Earth.
